My client in the manufacturing industry is searching for a Financial Director to join their team.
The candidate must meet the following requirements:
* CA (SA) and/or relevant qualification and experience.
* Experience in an executive financial management role.
These are some of the duties the successful candidate will be required to perform:
* Strategically lead and manage the group’s finance, commercial, HR and IT functions, with the support of :Group Accountant (Direct Report), Group Management Accountant (Direct Report),Human Resources Manager (Direct Report), and Five (5) Plant Accountants (Indirect Reports)
* Control and review Monthly Management Accounts, and preparation and presentation of a monthly Finance director report o the Group’s performance and general financial position
* Custodian of the Capital Expenditure Appropriation Process
* Group Treasury, cash flow management and forecasting.
* Preparation of Annual Financial Statements from the Group
* Manage and lead the annual budget preparation process, including detailed review per plant, consolidation of the budget, and presentation to the Exco and Board.
* Group’s taxation matters including tax computation, IT 14 review and signoff, and Public Officer duties
* Support of the company secretarial function through PwC (including notices and registrar issues.
* Audit and Remuneration Committees membership.
* IT system control and periodic review including all software and hardware, with the support of the Group Accountant and First Technologies (external IT support).
* Group Medical Aid and Insurance custodian, including liaising with brokers and annual reviews
* Steel and Tinplate inventory oversight including monthly stock order consolidation for the Group and external customers, with the support of the Management Accountant.
* Manage and lead all interactions and contractual obligations in all steel and tinplate and cutting contracts.
* Manage and lead the periodic steel and tinplate price increases, including updating steel standards costing, selling prices adjustments communication through the different plants
* Strategic leadership of the Group’s human resources through the support of a Human Resources Manager
Salary - R800 000 - R840 000
